Infrared Fun

I took one of my infrared cameras to Allaire State Park to do some IR photography during my daily walk. The weather was cool and beautiful! I am so happy that the humidity has passed and the nights are cool and crisp. That is one of the main reasons I still live in NJ—well, except for my family <wink>.

I photographed the old bakery at Allaire with the small pond in the foreground. I really like the way IR affects the tress and grasses. I set up two different compositions and would like to know which you prefer and why. Please share your comments here on the blog and not in an email as my inbox is filled to the max, thx.

Both were captured with my Olympus camera that I had converted through Kolari Visions. I went with a standard 720 nanometer conversion so I would still have some color if I wanted and lately, I have been drawn to the pink tones. I used a 15mm pancake lens and cropped to a square for both.

Which composition do you prefer A or B?? I’ll share my thoughts on both compositions after a few folks have had a chance to comment.
